Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/07/2015

Appearance:

(sample best before end Mar/16) Slight haze, golden amber with retentive, moderately thick creamy white head and good lacing.

Aroma:

Yeasty and malty with aromatic citrus and grassy hops.

Taste:

Dry and fairly bitter with caramel yeasty maltiness, pine and citrusy hop flavours.

Aftertaste:

Caramel malt with lingering grassy hop bitterness and faint salty notes.

Overall:

Don’t be put off by the mainstream branding, this is a good full-bodied IPA with complex bitter hop character but also overly heavy caramel sweetness.
