This full-flavoured pale ale is brewed with a blend of Pale, amber, crystal and black malts. It is hopped with English Goldings, Whitbread Golding Variety (actually a type of Fuggle) and Styrian Goldings from Slovenia. IBU: 27

Caledonian's Flying Scotsman was launched in 2012 to coincide with completed restoration of the famous eponymous locomotive, now at the National Railway Museum in York.

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber with retentive ivory head.

Aroma:

Biscuity and raisin with good hop aromatics.

Taste:

Medium-bodied with good malt character, citrus hop bite and mild bitterness.

Aftertaste:

Toasted malt with a citrusy tang.
