Review and Tasting

Sampled on 19/04/2016

Appearance:

(02/Oct/16) Cloudy, sandy amber with a retentive ivory white head leaving moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Crystallised ginger, yeasty brown bread and lightly floral.

Taste:

Mellow root ginger, light citrus and floral hops over attractive bready malt, garnished with an enlivening peppery spice.

Aftertaste:

Fades with mild ginger and brown bread. Lingering lightly bitter hops and mild black pepper spice.

Overall:

“Brewed with ginger” is very different to “ginger flavoured” and while ginger is present its presence is in balance with bready malt, mildly floral hops and saison yeast spice. Share a bottle – a little of this is fantastic but it’s not sessionable.
