Better known as simply 'Pacifico', this pilsner-style beer is the leading brand in northeastern Mexico. It was first brewed in Mazatlán, Mexico and was first exported to the USA in 1985.
Sampled on 29/08/2017
(sample bottle best before 18/Aug/18) Clear, medium golden amber with thin white head which quickly dissipates.
Very subdued nose has an aroma reminiscent of slightly burnt brown rice and packaged apple juice..
Light-bodied. Lightly bitter, very mild cereal notes.
Short finish just about manages to offer a toasty flavour which fades with a flavour reminiscent of jarred maraschino cherries.
Very , very light-bodied that's very mild in flavour and character. A beer suited to parched palates in hot climates.
