Review and Tasting

Sampled on 18/04/2016

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Caraway, cumin, fennel, light white pepper and freshly cut grass.

Taste:

Much drier and lighter in style than lesser, comparatively syrupy kümmels, Helbing’s caraway flavour is also more complex and restrained. Light white pepper spice and spearmint-like freshness.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering, yet delicate caraway. Freshening.

Overall:

More of an eau-de-vie Kümmel, Helbing lacks the syrupy sweetness common to many other Kümmel liqueurs and its complex caraway notes are comparatively delicate.
