Made with a blend of natural ginger root, the source of which is not revealed, Fever Tree's Ginger Beer undergoes a process of fermentation, though presumably any alcohol contained is negligible. Spring water, cane sugar, ginger root, natural flavours and ascorbic acid are listed as ingredients.

Appearance:

(sample bottle BBE Aug/17) Hazy, pale grey yellow. Some sediment on bottom of bottle. Large persistent bubbles.

Aroma:

Fresh-cut root ginger with citrus and faint earthyness.

Taste:

Fiery, ginger hit with root ginger, candied ginger and ginger preserve. Balanced sweetness with ginger heat. Very clean.

Aftertaste:

Fiery heat builds on the finish.

Overall:

Clean, one-dimensional ginger. Fierier than many other ginger beers.
