100% pure Quebec maple syrup matured in ex-Kentucky bourbon barrels at the Montreal based 1769 Distillery. As the maple syrup matures it absorbs flavours from the barrels. Each wax sealed bottle is label with its own batch and bottle number.

Appearance:

(sample batch No. 001, bottle 146 of 550) Clear (with tiny particles in suspension), deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Blackened raison rich fruitcake fresh from the oven, caramel, vanilla fudge and toasted maple wood.

Taste:

Distinct bourbon and toasty oak with caramel and vanilla. Underlying brown sugar, apple pie, toffee apple and light cinnamon.

Aftertaste:

Lingering bourbon, raison, caramel and maple.

Overall:

Far more complex than unaged maple syrup with raison fruit, vanilla and caramel.
