Created by Ted Breaux and made at the Combier Distillery, France. Lucid launched in 2007, as one of the pioneer new wave absinthes to hit America.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 06/01/2013

Appearance:

Clear but not bight, olive oil yellow with a tinge of green. With water louches from the bottom in layers to turn very pale milky green.

Aroma:

(with approx. 50/50 water). Herbal bark and white pepper sit alongside anise and fennel.

Taste:

Herbal rooty bark and white pepper prickle with freshening anise and fennel. Ainse subdued compared to some other absinthes.

Aftertaste:

Lingering peppery herbal anise and fennel.
