Coeur de Cognac – or “heart of cognac” to my fellow non-Francophones – is a blend of eaux-de-vie from Rémy’s own vineyards in Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne. We understand this sits somewhere between a VSOP and XO.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Prune, raisin, apricot, vanilla and toasted almond with light white pepper and faint violet blossom.

Taste:

Slightly sweet with vanilla, apricot, almond and buttery fudge with walnuts and lightly spiced oak.

Aftertaste:

Nutty fudge with dried fruit, lingering lightly spicy black pepper and butterscotch.
