This 5 year old rum was distilled from molasses and aged in America oak ex-Bourbon casks by Banks DIH in Georgetown, Guyana. Banks DIH do not have a distillery but purchase distilled spirit from other producers then age in their own warehouses before blending and bottling at their own facility.

Appearance:

Clear, copper/polished amber.

Aroma:

Subdued nose with pronounced peppery spirit prickle with buttery toasted - almost creamy notes, vanilla, orange peel and ginger spice aromas.

Taste:

Rich, slightly sweet palate with caramel/fudge, burnt demerara sugar, vanilla and mocha coffee.

Aftertaste:

Medium length caramel/fudge finish with cinnamon, cracked red pepper and corn spice.
