XV is a blend of rums aged 3 to 8 years in a combination of white American oak ex-Bourbon and red European oak Pedro Ximenez sherry seasoned casks. (Brugal XV was released in May 2013 a replacement for Brugal Extra Viejo which was aged in ex-bourbon barrels for 3 to 8 years.)

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Prunes, dried fruit, toasted almond, fudge and mocha coffee with orange zest.

Taste:

Espresso coffee, bitter chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon spice with tropical dried fruit and nuts.

Aftertaste:

Espresso, chocolate and biscuity toffee with zesty orange, mocha coffee and cinnamon spice.
