Launched in September 2014 and named after the English village of Chilgrove in West Sussex, this vodka is distilled with natural mineral water filtered through the chalky South Downs which surround Chilgrove, with a neutral spirit distilled from grapes.

Appearance:

(sample bottle distilled 2015, batch 0001) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Clean and fairly neutral with faint crusty white bread, fennel and white pepper.

Taste:

Clean with assertive black pepper spice and very faint notes of cherry and chocolate.

Aftertaste:

Short finish with peppery spice and very faint aniseed.

Overall:

Clean and fairly neutral with black peppery spice. Perhaps lacking a distinctive character.
