Folk at Macallan used to talk about their 'Six Pillars of Spiritual Wisdom', one of which (number five) said: "Macallan is the only single malt to be matured exclusively in sherry casks", with dry oloroso sherry casks being favoured. This Whisky Exchange bottling is a reminder of that fifth pillar.
