Released in June 2014 as a limited edition of 450 cases, Old Pulteney 35 Year Old was matured ina combination of American oak ex-bourbon and Spanish sherry seasoned casks. Bottled without chill-filtration and presented in a wooden box with the bottle visible through a porthole.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, mid golden amber.

Aroma:

Green and baked apple, fruit cake with candied orange peel, cinnamon and vanilla.

Taste:

Rich and sherried with elegant nutty oak, raisins, oak tannins, salt and orange zest. Drier and nuttier with water.

Aftertaste:

Dry with lingering oak tannins, burnt fruitcake, cinnamon and clove spice. Overall: Rich sherried fruit dried with oaky tannins.
