Introduced in September 2014 to replace Traditional Cask as Ardmore’s core expression, malts from the distillery are marketed as being “the only traditionally peated Highland single malt whisky.” Chill Filtered. 80% peated malt and 20% unpeated malt.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 29/12/2014

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden amber.

Aroma:

Heather honey and mild peat smoke with cinnamon and chocolate. Water brings out vanilla and buttery chocolate fudge. Water releases salty smoke.

Taste:

Honeyed sweetness balances dry woody peat smoke with cream-of-soda vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg spice and barbeque charcoal.

Aftertaste:

Lightly smoky barbeque charcoal.
