Review and Tasting

Sampled on 10/09/2013

Appearance:

(Three Choirs Vineyard, Gloucestershire. Bot No. 2010-B-1208) Clear, brick reddy brown with deep burgundy tints.

Aroma:

Berry fruit (particularly blueberries), red wine and Christmassy spice.

Taste:

Moderately sweet with balancing rooty bitterness. As the name suggests, warmly spiced with notes of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and herbal complexity. The otherwise heavy palate is lifted by zesty citrus.

Aftertaste:

Long spicy bittersweet finish with red berry, wine and orange zest.
