How to make:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

1 1/2 fl oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
3/4 fl oz Luxardo Apricot Albicocca Liqueur
3/4 fl oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
1/4 fl oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura

This gin-based cocktail elegantly highlights the quality of your apricot liqueur. Off-dry rather than sweet.

History:

The Paradise Cocktail first appears in Harry McElhone's 1922 Harry's ABC of Mixing Cocktails as an equal parts dry gin, apricot brandy, and orange juice. It then reappears with a better formulation in Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book.

PARADISE COCKTAIL.
1 Dash Lemon Juice.
¼ Orange Juice.
½ Gin.
¼ Apricot Brandy.
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.
