Review

A fancy townhouse newly opened in March 2013 in the heart of London's museum neighbourhood, with the Natural History Museum just over the street, is the new home of this bar, bistro and nightclub. Contemporarily styled, graffiti and neon lights have pimped up this grand old building, while entertainment ranging from barbershop quartets to DJs spinning the decks marks this out as something different.

The full cocktail list was not available on our first visit, but on the basis of the classic cocktails we tried we'd be happy to go back - well-balanced, beautifully presented drinks served in lovely glassware. What's coming is a list heavy on home-infused spirits (kumquat Bacardi, coriander rum, rose vodka, apricot gin) used in a well-balanced choice of long/short, fruity/spirituous drinks, all at a surprisingly reasonable (for such a lavish space and fancy location) £9.50. Smartly uniformed staff and impeccable service add another tick. Quiet early doors but no doubt something the Chelsea and Kensington set will flock to later in the evening - no doubt the nearby Boujis clientele is firmly in 3 Cromwell Road's sites.
