Review

This staple of the Dalston scene is at its centre, both figuratively and literally. Always busy, it moves from somewhere to brunch through to late-night skirmish, often with a queue to get in (where you may find your hand 'stamped' with a lewd motif - a cock and balls on one recent visit!). A carefully curated DJ list sees everything from gay club residencies to Bowie appreciation and drag, with playlists and clientele to match.

The long, thin space ground floor is dominated by a long bar down one side, with decor a distinctive 'deconstructed' bent. Downstairs is a dancefloor to really let loose. They manage to cobble together a list of crowd-pleasing drinks (£5.50-8.50) - everything from the Dalston Negroni (made with sloe gin) to Milk Bottles containing vanilla vodka, apricot liqueur, coconut cream and lychee: like many bars in the area, the emphasis is more on the sweet side and less on finesse, but stop fussing, you're here to have a good time, and you will.
