Review

This 1970s pub is not pretty from the outside, and inside is utilitarian and scruffy. Despite its looks, The Miller is a great boozer.
With the unpretentious atmosphere of a student bar, it's no surprise that it's a popular haunt for trainee medics from nearby Guys hospital. An old Packman table adds to the overall retro feel with garishly painted booths and mismatched furnishings. A live stage and music studio also draws in music fans.

The Miller's real attraction is its food and drink offering. Gourmet hotdogs made with Bermondsey sausages are lip-smacking delicious and must be experienced. Expect to get messy and be sure to finish with a homemade lolly.

There's an impressive array of craft beers, including bottled brews from Bermondsey breweries - Partizan and The Kernel. Handpumps dispense craft ales and farmhouse ciders. So much good beer cries out for good whiskey and here you've a wide choice of bourbons and single malts. Those who prefer the grape to the grain are catered for with 10 wines by the glass.

This is the kind of boozer where you could wear your jim jams and fit in just fine - indeed you'd probably be the best dressed in the house.
