Burger & Lobster venues seem to be springing up faster than we can get to them. This is now one of four venues across London serving up tons of lobsters, tasty meat patties (who doesn't love a burger?) and accomplished cocktails.

Like its siblings, this site in the Square Mile has a dedicated bar area, with seating for a dozen or so. Like its siblings there can also be a queue out the door, though on week nights it's far easier to get in this upscale chain than say its Mayfair or Soho branches. The glass-walled venue boasts ruby red seating and wooden finishes that warm up the space.

The drinks list, divided into Aperitifs, Digestifs and 'B'- and 'L'-themed cocktails offer a selection that ticks off practically all the spirit categories. Innovative flavour pairings range from quirky infusions (caramel raisin-infused rum) to boozy fruit sodas, Coke floats, tea-based fizzes and spice-laden Batidas. Suffice to say there's something for everybody, there's definitely no place for cocktail snobbery and we found this City site has managed to maintain the same high standards as its sister venues despite its rapid expansion. Staff mirror the concept with chatty, quirky personalities, and delectable popcorn bar nibbles are always on hand.

This venue articulates how the Square Mile is no longer just for champagne quaffing City types or suited beer drinkers but a place where cocktail junkies can get their fix too.
