Review

Bought to you by the owners of teh highly regarded Ruby, Lidkoeb covers three floors of a listed 18th century building which lies hidden on the far side of a courtyard accessed by an unmarked alley off the main street.

On the ground floor lies lounge is set out in the style of a café bar. A line of high bench tables line the windowed wall opposite the long wooden bar. More wood about the room, along with flickering candles warm the white walled interior. There's a creative 14 strong house cocktail list and a good range of wines plus draught beer.

The first floor has and additional space for 75 but it is the dimly lit lounge which seats around 45 on the second floor which is the place to be. Seats at this top floor space are much coveted but they take reservations Sunday to Thursday but not for Fridays or Saturday after 7pm.

In the summer months the secluded courtyard comes into its own creating a fourth alfresco space.
