Review

Classic and stylish would be the easiest way to describe this latest opening along the swanky Park Lane. Housed in an 1800s Edwardian mansion block, the bar and restaurant have attempted to retain some of this history with the aged brass, leather and marble decor.

There's scattered seating, a mirrored fireplace and some stunning art work but taking centre stage is the wrap-around bar divided by pillars. Heading up the bar team is Francesco Turrini who has adapted the restaurant theme to his cocktail menu. Divided into four categories the drinks take on areas and flavours of London including Brick Lane, Portobello Road, Kingsland Road and Edgeware Road.

We tried their West London Gimlet with vodka and beetroot and the interesting Brick Lane Bruv made with beer, Indian whisky, pineapple, lime and chai syrup. Both drinks were balanced and had a suitable boozy kick. The flavour profiles the team have associated with London's most famous roads are authentic and make for an unique menu. Good service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this bar a nice edition to the Park Lane scene.
