Review

This is the smallest cocktail bar in the world, or at least it could be. Formally a coffee shop, the bar counter which lies at the back of the room is just a few strides from the door. And don't be fooled into thinking the narrow passage to the left of the bar leads to a hidden larger space, that's just the toilet. The staircase by the door does lead to a lounge area above the bar but this is so small it has the feel of being in a child's tree house.

Come here early in the week and you'll wonder why there are only a few stools at the bar and the rest of the floor area is empty. Come back on a Friday night and you'll understand why as the place becomes packed with hipsters enjoying the intimate atmosphere.

For such a small bar the cocktail menu is surprisingly large with 28 cocktails. The eponymous 'Hazlewood' is the drink to try here and is served with "Irish whiskey, honey'd peppermint tea and amaretto. Served up with a twist, a truffle and a Nat Sherman." We recommend the delightfully simple Harvey Dent with rye whiskey, amaretto and Cynar served up.
