Review

In the basement, below Sage Conran's excellent Mexican restaurant you'll find The Pink Chihuahua, a basement bar which is often presided over by bartending legend, Dick Bradsell.

Those of you who have not heard of Dick Bradsell have probably drunk a cocktail he created, such as the Bramble, Russian Spring Punch, Treacle and Vodka Espresso.

The drinks menu at El Camino befits the bar's theme, concentrating on tequila and rum with drinks arranged under Batidas, Margaritas, Daiquiris and "Gringos" headings.

Most of the young Soho crowd that drink here are completely unaware of their bartender's status. For them this is simply a relaxed Eighties revival meets Mexican cantina, serving frozen Margaritas and Daiquiris.
