Review

Located just a stone's throw from the Notre Dame cathedral and on the edge of the pretty Marais district, this corner site is definitely well located.

Tequila ambassador Tomas Estes' Parisian outpost looks much like its sister sites in London, with the same simple interior, fading photographs and bric-a-brac on the walls, wooden furniture and a mirrored back-bar, though absent are the boards behind the bar familiar to the London bars that name drinkers who have chosen the best and most expensive tequilas. The latter means you might question whether Parisians have bought into the recent tequila craze quite as much as the rest of the world, and the bartenders still seem to cater to a crowd who likes to shoot tequila.

The menu is short as far as drinks are concerned, concentrating on variations on Margaritas - which are predictably well made - but the staff are happy to run through the tequilas and mezcals not listed on the menu. The concept is familiar, but sometimes that's just what you are looking for.
