The Nottingham forest was opened in 1970 by Carlo Comini, Dario's father. In 1980 under the guide of Dario Comini the Nottingham Forest became one of the best bars in Italy.
Renovated in 2007 Dario introduced a brand new bar counter made by the architect Sahlei. The top of the bar counter comes from New York, from the Knickerbocker hotel in Times square, where the Martini Cocktail was born. The architecture of the bar is a mix of different bar style with a collection of unique objects brought from Dario during his trips but even from guests that come from all around the world to try his new cocktail creations.
Nottingham Forest is an experimental cocktail bar where you can drink a classic cocktail or a new creation too. Every drink has its own glass and Dario Comini likes to research the way how has to be served. One of his key point is the molecular technique used for the preparation of his cocktails for example Sous vide distillation, cocktail carbonating, specifications and still others.
The cocktail recommended is the Mondrian Martini. A classic Martini with 4 different specifications inside. In 2008 Nottingham Forest enter in the World's 50 best bars List and it stayed for 10 years. In 2020 Nottingham Forest celebrated 50 years of opening.
