This all-day bar and kitchen concept is so successful that it has been much replicated and this two-floored Leeds venue is the seventh incarnation.

Mango Vanilla Martini heads up a menu of crowd-pleasing cocktails with the likes of Lemon Cheesecake and Banana Colada appearing alongside Mango Margarita and a very tasty sounding Pistachio Espresso Martini made with homemade pistachio syrup.

Banyan is a food-led venue with a very international offering that starts with breakfasts served till noon. Mains range from Mediterranean Linguine to Thai Green Curry via Steak & Ale Shortcrust Pie and Oriental Duck. Add to that Steaks, Burgers and Sunday roast - something for everyone - including kids. Yes, of course there's a children's menu.

Banyan is the kind of place you could take your girlfriend or elderly granny and be sure not to offend. Edgy Banyan is not.
