This small Irish bar just off Bourbon Street is one of the Crescent City's most famous/infamous. As you'd expect from an Irish bar there's Guinness and Harp on tap as well as the obligatory Irish Coffees. However, it is the Frozen Irish coffees for which the Erin Rose is noted.
Known to locals as the Irish Beauty, the Erin Rose oozes character with its walls plastered with pictures, neon signs and memorabilia. It is also a place where you're sure to meet characters and conversation across and along the bar is assured.
Originally a single family home built at the end of the 19th century, the building was converted into a bar by the mid 1950's. Jim Monaghan acquired the propriety in the early 1980s and soon after entrusted its management to the present owner to which Jim left the property when he sadly died in 2001.
