Distilled at a "century-old distillery nestled in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the pristine Swiss Alps", Vodka 57 is made with French winter wheat and is distilled five times and undergoes seven filtrations.
It is not disclosed if some of these distillations are in France, where the grain on which this vodka is based is harvested, or if all five distillations are in Switzerland. (A brand video shows a hybrid still.)
Vodka57 is hydrated with "glacier water from the heart of Switzerland."
The tall, slender bottle shape, by an Italian designer, was inspired by a Medieval sword.

Crystal clear.
Subtly toasty and biscuity with faint lemon zest.
Charcoal, lightly burnt toast and toasty grain (barley, despite being wheat-based) with assertive black pepper, spirituous spice and delicate aniseed.
Lingering toasty, charcoal and peppery spice.
This French winter wheat-based vodka undergoes seven filtrations, and perhaps elements from those filtrations add toasty/charcoal notes. The tall bottle rises from a small square base to broad, round shoulders, making a fall bottle a little top-heavy. The bottle-shape was inspired by a sword, but I've not discovered the inspiration behind the name. I fear some will confuse this "Pure Glacier Vodka" with Smirnoff No 57 Vodka.
