Sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum) is a commonplace herbaceous plant that's known for its fragrant flowers and foliage, but this is almost certainly the first commercial woodruff-favoured liqueur.
Created by Ashley Haines, the prototype of his liqueur won the 2025 Gabriel Boudier Wizard Award Competition for UK Bartenders, leading Gabriel Boudier to develop and launch a comical version.
The liqueur is made by blending woodruff maceration and green tea infusion with alcohol, water, and sugar.

Clear, deep golden amber.
Biscuity green tea, marzipan and vanilla.
Hay-like and biscuity hay with buttery nuttiness and cinnamon. The biscuity note has a burnt honeycomb dryness that balances the liqueur's richness.
Dry biscuity, nutty finish with faint lavender and lingering acidity.
A truly unique and interesting liqueur which captures the scent and flavour of sweet woodruff.
