First brewed in 1988, Xingu looks like a stout but is in fact a Brazilian dark lager.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 24/11/2011

Appearance:

Black with a hint of brown with thin tan head.

Aroma:

Dark chocolate nose with fudge, caramel and faint rolling tobacco.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, roasted malt palate with slight nuttiness and mocha coffee with a dash of vanilla syrup.

Aftertaste:

Sweet 'n' sour, pumpernickel bread finish with caramel, bitter hops and citrus.
