Produced on the Greek island of Lesvos, Ouzo of Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis takes its name from the coastal town of Plomari, renowned for its long tradition of ouzo production.

The brand dates from 1894, when Isidoros Arvanitis developed his recipe centred on aniseed grown in Lisvori on Lesvos, complemented by fennel, Chios mastic and other botanicals. Soft spring water from the Sedountas River also plays an important role.

Ouzo of Plomari is made using the traditional double-distillation process in small copper stills, with each distillation lasting about nine hours.
