This pineau is made from ugni blanc and colombard grapes, the fermentation of which was cut short by the addition of cognac so retaining some of the grapes natural sugars. This is then aged a minimum of ten years in oak casks previously used to age cognac.
Best served chilled (but not over ice) as an aperitif or with blue cheeses, especially Roquefort or Foie Gras.

Appearance:
Clear, dark golden amber.
Aroma:
Dark honey and prune fruit.
Taste:
Slightly sweet with prunes, dried fruits, cinnamon and vanilla.
Aftertaste:
These flavours continue through the lingering finish.
