This Philippino pilsner was first brewed in 1890, when the company was founded in Manila. The company is the largest producer in the country, boasting five breweries and a 95 per cent market share.
Sampled on 05/03/2012
Clear, bright yellow gold with white head which immediately collapses to little more than a ring of foam.
Raw corn on the cob nose with slight brussel sprout vegetable aromas.
Very light, slightly bitter palate with corn notes found on nose. Little real character or hops. Has the body of a lager designed for quaffing under a hot sun.
Little real lingering flavour aside from corn flakes and slight metallic note.
