First bottled in May 2012, Lune d'Abricot (apricot moon) is an apricot brandy made with a maceration of fresh French apricots in neutral alcohol blended with a touch of young cognac from the producer's own cellars.

Follow the label's advice and refrigerate after opening to help maintain freshness.

Appearance:

Clear, clear deep burnished copper/golden amber.

Aroma:

Dried apricot and apricot jam with ripe pear and pear skin. Faint marzipan-like almond.

Taste:

Jammy, dried apricot and fresh apricot juice with ripe peach and pear skin. Spiritous notes add balance and body.

Aftertaste:

Almond is more obvious in the jammy apricot finish.

Overall:

This apricot brandy has it all: dried apricot, apricot jam and fresh apricot flesh, along with attractive notes of ripe pear, pear skin and marzipan-like almond. Cognac and spiritious notes add depth and balance.
