Review and Tasting

Sampled on 07/10/2012

Appearance:

Clear, deep copper with bronze highlights.

Aroma:

Red apples – apple strudel, fresh barley and bual madeira with raisin fruit, toasted almond, linseed putty and light cinnamon spice.

Taste:

Honeyed and sherried woody oaked palate with stewed pear, red apple fruit, faint sappy pine and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Rich sherry oaky finish with vegetal notes and lingering pine sap, dry oak and spice. Heavy pine and oak bitter tannins may polarise.
