Marquis de Montesquiou can trace its origins back to the 11th century and the most famous Montesquiou was novelist Alexandre Dumas' musketeer d'Artagnan. The houses' ageing cellars in the Gascony town of Eauze is known as The Cathedral and holds over 1800 casks of vintages dating back to the 1700s.

Appearance:

Clear, dark coppery amber with burnished bronze highlights.

Aroma:

Stewed pear with toasted walnuts, caramel, dried but plump prunes, tobacco and cacao.

Taste:

Grape fruit comes endures the woody, dry cacao and coffee bean palate with woody resin and walnuts.

Aftertaste:

Buttery burnt toffee, dry oak, woody resin and nuts.
