Botran harvests sugar cane from a family estate in southern Guatemala, presses it and heats the juice to create virgin sugar cane 'honey', which it ferments, distils and ages through a Solera process which employs several types of cask, including ex-bourbon, re-charred American oak and ex-Sherry.

Clear, deep coppery amber.
Crème caramel and oak dominates an appealing nose with mild cinnamon spice, nubuck leather, toffee apple and sweet madeira wine.
Intensely flavoured, initially dry, almost powdery oak with clove and cinnamon spice balanced by emerging honey and sherry-like sweetness, fudge and caramel, dates and burnt sultana fruit.
Long burn currant and molasses finish with lingering cinnamon spice.
