Flying Dog’s Barrel Aged Gonzo is one of their speciality brews made with 120L Crystal, Black and Chocolate malts, Warrior, Northern Brewer and Cascade hops and a combination of two yeast strains. It is aged 3 months in barrels previously used by Flying Dog’s neighbours, Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey

Appearance:

(best before 22-Apr-12) Pitch black opaque with thin beige brown head.

Aroma:

Vinous fruit, slightly burnt charcoal malt and dark chocolate with raisins and asphalt/tar.

Taste:

Full bodied and bittersweet with malty dark chocolate, oaky bourbon and dry espresso coffee.

Aftertaste:

Dry chocolate, woody tannins and espresso coffee. Will only appeal to aficionados of strong Imperial porter.
