Lejay Lagoute use frozen strawberries from Spain and Serbia. Gravity filtration does not totally clarify this liqueur as the seeds don’t sink so a gentle particle filtration is also used. It is balanced with 450 grams of sugar per litre.

Appearance:

Clear, crimson red.

Aroma:

Strawberry jam and just picked strawberries with faint white pepper on a fairly muted nose.

Taste:

Lightly sweet, lightly syrupy and soft. Strawberry juice with jammy notes and very faint tannins - perhaps from the seeds.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering strawberry jam with slight fruit tartness and plump overripe strawberries.
