Black Dog is a cask conditioned traditional English dark mild. A blend of Crystal Malt and Roast Barley is combined with Fuggles as the sole variety of hop. It’s one of the breweries best-known beers behind their Cambridge Bitter, and is available draught and bottled.

Appearance:

(28-Jul-13) Pitch black with thin but big bubbled beige head.

Aroma:

Earthy burnt toffee, spent coal and dark roasted espresso coffee with hay, Bovril and liquorice.

Taste:

Espresso and mocha coffee with hazelnuts and caramel.

Aftertaste:

Espresso coffee, dark bitter chocolate and bread crust.
