Established in 2012, this is the first pale ale to be produced by Rocky Head Brewery. It is brewed using malted and toasted barley with American and New Zealand hops and is unfiltered and bottle conditioned.

Sampled on 04/12/2012

Appearance:

Cloudy coppery amber with one finger thick ivory-coloured head and moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Blackcurrant boiled sweets, caramel, orange zest and pine needles.

Taste:

This American styled IPA is on the bitter side, slightly aggressively so but with equally powerful malty note. Grapefruit zest and dark fruit sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Lingering pine bitterness.
