Made by macerating and steeping Herefordshire grown Pixley raspberries (which are left on the vine as long as possible to fully ripen) in Chase’s potato vodka before being redistilled and then the distillate blended with fresh raspberry juice.
Sampled on 08/12/2012
(Second Batch, Bottle No. 599 of 2000) Clear, cherry red.
Ripe raspberries and black pepper with faint vanilla and cassis blackcurrant skin element.
Dry, in fact slightly tart, yet ripe raspberry, cherries in kirsch and aggressive black pepper alcohol bite.
Red berry fruit – raspberries and plums, black pepper spice and cream-of-soda vanilla. The antidote to sweetened and essence flavoured vodka.
