This IPA from the Kernel brewery is hopped with are Citra, Summit, Antanum and Apollo although this is often subject to change as the brewery like to tweak their recipes, saying they’re never quite satisfied with the results. However, the hops used will always be American varieties for this beer.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 09/12/2012

Appearance:

Chill haze, mid amber with moderate white head.

Aroma:

Freshly cut grass and spruce hops – a little like a beer garden in summer time. Slight bay leaf herbal note.

Taste:

Slightly metallic, potent floral hops with yeasty savoury note and baguette crust malt. A seriously complex beer considering the low alcohol strength.

Aftertaste:

Fabulously integrated. Finish gets richer as it goes on. Great with some nutty cheese of Welsh rarebit. Lingering spruce and dried grass.
