Its makers say, “Nothing beats this home-mown taste.” While that’s open to question, ‘fresh cut grass’ is a tasting note used in the wine industry. This also nods to its Polish origins and bison grass flavoured vodka. We’re guessing no grass was harmed in the flavouring of this not-quite-a-vodka.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 09/03/2013

Appearance:

Clear, pale green.

Aroma:

Initially more damp, musty cellar before recently cut grass cuttings on a compost heap with freshly sliced kiwi fruit.

Taste:

Does indeed taste of freshly cut grass with kiwi fruit, galia melon and grapefruit. Cracked black pepper spice develops and pervades.

Aftertaste:

Grassy galia melon, grapefruit and mouth tingling black pepper spice. I wish there was less of a black pepper bite.
