Clear, mid-golden amber.
Peaty smoke, delicate iodine, tar, smoked cheese and burnt port crackling with crushed sweet mint leaves. Water tames and opens but tends not to reveal any other nuances.
Huge peaty palate is smoking hot but very slightly sweet. With a splash of water this dram is deliciously smoky and elegantly spiced with buttery oak and black cherry fruit. Remains slightly sweet.
Iodine and liquorice with lingering dry spicy oak.
