Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/11/2013

Appearance:

(sample “best before end 2008”) Cloudy, tawny brown-amber with thin off-white head with large bubbles.

Aroma:

Earthy caramel, vinous fruit – figs and prunes and mixed herbs.

Taste:

Currants and raisons with stewed, dried and vinous fruit. Reminiscent of a spicy Christmas pudding.

Aftertaste:

Chicory, caramel and liquorice with lingering Christmas spice. Possibly now a little over mature.
