Released in 2013, this is the third in Bruichladdich’s ‘The Islay Barley series’. The barley in question was grown in the Minister’s Field at Rockside Farm by Mark and Rohaise French, harvested in 2006 and distilled in 2007.

Appearance:
Clear, pale/mid golden amber.
Aroma:
Buttery barley, shortcrust pastry and cinnamon spice with heather and faint peach and pear fruit. Water releases more fruity aromas and a burst of vanilla.
Taste:
Buttery caramel and fudge with cinnamon spiced dry oak, subtle pepper corn spice, salt and delicate peat.
Aftertaste:
Salty and spicy with subtle white pepper.
