A single cask selected early in 2013 by the folk at The Whisky Exchange who “were shocked at the depth of flavour imparted in such a short time”. Distilled in 2006 and bottled 3rd September 2013 by the distillery after 7 years aging in oloroso sherry cask number 240 which yielded 452 bottles.
Review and Tasting

Appearance:
Clear, deep coppery amber with bonze tints.
Aroma:
Mocha coffee, bran flakes, wholemeal toast and dark muscovado sugar with shoe polish.
Taste:
Richly sherried and spicy with brandy and sherry soaked fruit cake, liquorice and rum and raison. Don’t overwater but unusually this sherried dram takes water well to become even fruitier.
Aftertaste:
Dry oak, burnt raisons, delicate spice and faint liquorice. Best served with mince pies and brandy butter.
